All we had was some vague idea about Mongolia's vast grasslands and we had heard of national hero Genghis Khan. And indeed this is what it really is all about. Thanks to two girls that we met in Russia, we arrived with a name and a phone number of a guide that could organise an authentic trip along with veggie meals. And off we went, into the vast grasslands, with a set of mountainbikes on top of our minibus. There were no such things as toilets or showers, or a comfi bed, but the magnificant emptiness and the nomadic lifestyle gave us an entirely new life experience.
